2008 CANADIAN PARAGLIDING NATIONALS
July 28th and ending Saturday August 2 - CHELAN, WA
In
conjunction with the Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association of Canada
(HPAC) and Aerial Paragliding, I'm excited to announce that, for the
first time ever, the Canadian Nationals will be held in conjunction with
the Chelan Open/Pre-PWC in Chelan, WA. Doug Stroop and Denise Reed have
run an excellent competition at Chelan for the last few years. The
combination of a solid site, experienced organizers and enthusiasm for
the idea from pilots on both sides of the border is exciting and in the
best spirit of international competition. The comp starts Monday
July 28th and ends Saturday August 2nd, with Sunday as an extra day
should we need it.
Below is all
the information along with some background on why we're holding the
Canadian PG Nationals in the US this year.

Prizes
For the
first three male and top female Canadians. Canadians are also of course
entered in the "Open" prize categories, as well as the Serial glider
class.
-Scored as a
Canadian competition for Canadian NTSS points.
This meet
counts as a Canadian meet for 2008, not a foreign meet. This is to
encourage all Canadian pilots to attend and compete against each other,
which is important for Canadian Team Selection.
